11th Annual M2 Champagne Bollinger Man of the Year 2017
Peter Burling has been announced as the M2 Champagne Bollinger Man of the Year for 2017.
The Emirates Team New Zealand Helmsman and America’s Cup Winner was announced at an exclusive awards ceremony on Thursday 9 November with fellow crew members Josh Junior and Guy Endean accepting the award on his behalf as Burling is currently competing in the Volvo Ocean Race but gave his gratitude for the award via a video feed from Lisbon.
MC Dominic Bowden interviewed Junior and Endean on stage as well guests on the red carpet about our ongoing achievements on the world stage. The annual award has recognised New Zealand men who have achieved outstanding success since 2006.
Andre Rowell, M2 Magazine Editor says, “we are so lucky to live in a country where we have such exciting stories of successful and inspiring men. This award is a celebration and acknowledgement of their accomplishments.”
The 2017 finalists also included: Rocket Labs CEO Peter Beck, Boxer and WBO Heavyweight Champion Joseph Parker, Oklahoma City Thunder basketball player Steven Adams, and filmmaker Taika Waititi.

Previous winners have included Richie McCaw, Dan Carter, Marc Ellis and John Key.
