2021 Game Releases: What You Can Look Forward To
After Cyberpunk’s trashfire of a release, I feel like I need to do a PSA about never pre-ordering anything. Just buy it day of release if you have to! Anyway, here are the 2021 game releases you should look forward to playing this year.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2
Releasing simultaneously on PC and Xbox Series, X S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 continues the legacy of The Zone surrounding the Chernobyl plant, it’s otherworldy denisens and Russians yelling at you. A non-linear storyline and an open world free of Ubisoft shenanigans. And an unmatched atmosphere. Think Metro but more freeing.
Resident Evil Village
Following RE:7, Ethan Winters continues his nightmarish adventures. It keeps the first person perspective but hits of strong RE:4 vibes with its inventory system and level design. Capcom hints that this will be dropping in May on all good platforms.
Horizon Forbidden West
It’s the PS5 exclusive you’re going to need to really stretch those next gen legs. This time Aloy will be taking on even bigger robots in new locations, including underwater. Expect more of the same of what you got last time, with an emphasis on ‘more’.
