5 Pieces Of Tech To Get Autumn Started
Cook Via The Sun
Going on a camping trip is one of life’s simple pleasures for a Kiwi bloke. Every aspect of it is a relaxing experience, except maybe the lack of home comforts. A nice, warm bed, a powerpoint, a fully-functioning cooker. In rainy or cold weather, cooking on an open fire can prove a tad tricky, and that’s why GoSun came up with a pretty good alternative that’ll help every happy camper.
Powered by solar power banks and solar panels, the cooker works on the heat of the sun and accessories and uses a vacuum tube by parabolic reflectors to heat up the food. If the sun blares down approximately 80 degrees for the cooker to gobble up, it’ll convert that using its 12V battery to about 550 degrees to get your food cooked in no time. You can check this temperature on the Bluetooth-connected thermometer. For a handy little cooking device that you can take with you on holiday for just USD$400.
Retro Eye
Computer manufacturing company, HTC, released in early January the next stage in virtual reality technology – the Vive Pro VR. Precise and advanced technology locates LED lights around the glasses to heighten optimal central focus. Looking at the design, it sports a cheeky navy blue look with two blue lights in the place of eyes. The new headset contains the next stage in eye-tracking with a ‘foveated rendering’ for sharp images for wherever the eye is looking. Magic. There’s no pricing yet, but it’s supposed to launch in the second quarter of 2019.
Plug In Baby
To charge or not to charge. That is a question most men ask when they’ve got a difficult choice to make. Do they unplug the microwave to plug in the phone? Do they dislodge the TV to plug in the iPod? Too many appliances being charged by one powerport point. Maybe it’s time to expand on potential. Fewer and fewer wall-chargers nowadays lack USB-C Power Delivery or lack the power to effectively charge other devices. That’s where international electronic appliance developers, Anker, come in with the five-slot powerport! Each port is compatible to quick-charge with a charging rate of 5V/2.4A and AC adapter. You can by one of these handy powerports from Amazon for about $40.
The Sweet Sound of Going Broke
For those fellas who enjoy the labelling themselves as ‘high-street’ fresh, Louis Vuitton have recently released earbuds that will get you to that desired status. Their new monogram, wireless headphones, Horizon, are set to slip into shops this year in America, and their price? Try NZD$1,458. You think I’m joking, Google it! A collaboration between the French fashion house and American audio studio, Master & Dynamic, these new headphones are Bluetooth compatible and come with a concave shaped stainless steel charging case. Each charge would get the listener about three and a half hours of listening time. If you feel like you do want to sell an organ to afford these earbuds, I suppose they’ll be a good investment for the future. But, in the real world, is it worth the price? I think not, Louis Vuitton.
Memory All Alone in the Moonlight
Having a healthy memory is a good attribute to have for a man. Appearing in the CES 2019, the memory stick with all the hype came from digital media American-based, Lexar. In early January, they launched their first ever one terabyte of memory. This impressively gives you unbounded space and opportunity to backup your personal information, photos or other people. This Class 10 card leverages UHS-I technology to deliver high-speed performance to get the shot you want, while providing the reliability you need. These memory cards are going for about about $593.87 online or in specific electric appliance shops.
