THE ANSWER TO PERPETUAL YOUTH
Keep learning, fascinated and relentlessly detached from what you already think you know.
A PHONE CALL, AN EMAIL OR A PLANE TRIP?
If it is important enough, take a plane trip, regardless of how expensive or inconvenient it is.
CONSISTENCY IS UNDER APPRECIATED
The bigger and really worthwhile successes in life don’t usually come as a consequence of one single action, but rather as a result of constantly repeating smaller, less significant things many, many times (sometimes for the whole of our life). Take, for example, being a great parent, teacher, leader, sportsperson, inventor, artist, musician, partner or friend. These all require tenacity and repeated effort, consistently over an extended period.
CONTINGENCY
It dawned on me recently, whilst working with a client on a critical supply contingency, that we relate contingency with something going wrong.
Let’s broaden our minds and also consider having a contingency for things going right. Have glasses in the office and bottles of Champagne chilled permanently ready to celebrate each success, regardless of how small!
HOW MUCH DOES IT MATTER?
There are differences in the way two people do something, but most of the time it doesn’t matter.
THE LONG GAME
I think a business must harmoniously weave short term and long term requirements together to be successful. It is critical, however, that we simply do not focus on the work we want to do by avoiding the work we need to do. Equally, we must not squander our success by not setting bigger picture longer term goals.
LEARN TO APPRECIATE YOUR THOUGHTS
A marvelous adventure can start with one thought. Sow seeds of interest in your mind – by reading, observing, asking questions, listening, doing things with others, doing things for others, doing your job and spending time with those you love.
Set your thoughts free to embellish and create all that you think.
MANAGING YOUR THOUGHTS
BEWARE / WARNING!
Your mind has infinite power and requires steering and guidance. Consider restricting it to positive adventures governed by your values – otherwise who knows what mischief it is capable of.
STOP TELLING YOURSELF STORIES THAT LET YOU OFF
When you want to do something, you can often tell yourself a story as to why you shouldn’t or why you can’t.
A person who ends up not having, has often told themselves a story that not having is their destiny. “I’m feeling a little unwell, I can’t go today, I’m too busy, I don’t like being overbooked, I don’t want to let my regulars down, blah blah blah”
You are worth it! Put aside the stories and get in to action.
THE SATISFACTION FROM DOING
Do we underestimate the importance of doing, something/anything, as a part of being happy and content?
I meditate every morning. Sometimes the twenty minute session seems torturous and takes for ever, yet other times it is blissful and I extend it to forty minutes because it is so magical.
I am fascinated as to why?

OBSERVATION!
Feed the mind an abundance of nourishment and you can expect fantastic expansion of range and output of thought! REASONABLE ASSUMPTION!
QUESTION: How do we nourish our mind? Is it just good nutrition? I DON’T THINK SO!
OPINION:
- The mind appears to need the support of a healthy, well-nourished body.
- It appears to need something to work on in the sense of building thoughts around a question, thought or idea.
- It needs reason, and a desire to focus!
You can do better. Start by feeding your mind today: Your health, Your goals and understand Your why!
