Joaquin Phoenix’s Oscar baiting role as the Joker has been earning him accolades everywhere, and it begs the question, will he return for a sequel?

“I don’t think I’ve done too many predictable things,” he told the press gallery at the Golden Globes. “If it came up, it wouldn’t be because we’re following some rulebook. It’s because we feel inspired again to explore the character again more thoroughly. That would be the only reason for me to do it.”

No one pins the Phoenix down.
