The Specs You’ll Need to Run Cyberpunk 2077 Buttery Smooth
Here we are, two weeks out from release day at the time of writing. I’ve been waiting, what like, eight years for this moment? World War 2 took less time to wrap up than Cyberpunk 2077. But it’s all worth it, it’s an absolute beast of a game. And it comes with all the depth we now expect from that one game we’ve all played from CD Projekt Red.
The below system requirements come direct from the Cyberpunk 2077 support site and was updated on the 24th of November 2020.
The blue section is for mortals, while the green section of the graphic is for God Tier GPUs that can handle ray tracing, and has support from DirectX 12 Ultimate.
If you were going balls to the wall with the spec sheet, you’re looking at getting an RTX 3080. You can pick it up from PB Tech for the price of around two Playstation 5’s. This should do you well for 4k, 60fps gameplay with ray tracing, as long as the rest of your hardware isn’t letting you down. Fine with a graphics card that wasn’t pulling double duty as a bitcoin miner? You can aim for a GTX 1060 for around $400 for a regular old playable experience.
Storage size required looks like it’ll unpack to 70gb onto your SSD. This is something you should make a note of when you go to download it the day of release.
Ultra settings requires the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor which shouldn’t bust the bank if you’ve already committed this far.
Let’s face it, you should not spare any expense for this game. Upgrade just for this game and you’ll have no trouble keeping up with the next generation now that the console kids have gotten their new upgraded little toys.
