Ep.124 – Lisa Booth – A Mission to End Hunger in Aotearoa by 2030
There is a strange dichotomy within our relationship with food in New Zealand. On one hand, we waste 157,000 tonnes of it every year here, while at the same time many families are struggling to put food on the table. With the belief that everyone has the right to have access to healthy, affordable food, Kete Kai co-founder Lisa Booth is working to redesign food systems with the goal of ending hunger in Aotearoa by 2030.
We talk to Lisa about the early hurdles on her mission, advice for other entrepreneurs who are trying to find that balance between commercial and impact, and the power of a single-minded vision.
