Meet The Luminor BiTempo

Panerai has been in the watch game since 1860, when it was founded in at “Ponte alle Grazie” in Florence, Italy as just a little workshop and subsequent school for watch-making. Well, class is now in session, and your lessons will be conducted by their brand-new Luminor Bitempo.

The Luminor BiTempo takes all the refinement Panerai is known for and adds new GMT features so it can track two times at once without losing its iconic style. The second time is measured by a third hand highlighted in cerulean blue, making it really pop.

It comes in two colourways built on the foundation of a 44mm satin-finished steel case. The first is striking with a lively blue sun-brushed dial with an alligator strap in the same hue. The second is more reserved, but goes with anything with its matte black dial and matching alligator strap. It has a date window at the 3 o’clock and a power reserve at the 5 o’clock.

This watch is unabashedly Italian so the word “ore” which translates to “hour” in Italian emblazons the power reserve metre. It can reserve up to 72 hours via its powerful movement calibre P.9012, which is comprised of a total of 231 components that you can admire clearly through its clear polished sapphire crystal caseback.

The standout feature of the Luminor is the bow which protects the crown and holds the signature crown lock which when operated provides a water resistance of an impressive 300 metres.
