Elle Fanning On Fire
So Elle Fanning has a new show “Margo’s Got Money Troubles” coming out made by her production company she co-founded with her sister. She ain’t just an actor anymore, she’s a businesswoman getting a slice of the industry, which she then acts in.
Based on a book, it demystifies the hustle of being on OnlyFans, with Nick Offerman onboard to provide comedy chops and trademark disapproving moustache glares. But can we pause for a moment and marvel at the fact that she’s just starred in the fourth piece of Predator media that’s managed to outperform the original film as well as the 2010 banger Predators with Adrien Brodie. It’s a good time to be a Predator fan with the release of the universally acclaimed animated anthology Predator: Killer of Killers and prequel film Prey. Director Dan Trachtenberg took the Predator and made him the protagonist alongside a robot Elle Fanning to make a film that sits comfortably beside these other two critically approved films. The Predator films are going off in all sorts of interesting directions, and by all accounts it’s paying off. Meanwhile the only piece of Alien media that’s managed to outperform the original film has been (surprisingly) the TV show Alien: Earth. So what does Predator have that Alien doesn’t? A lack of allegiance to the past. It isn’t shackled to Arnold Schwarzenegger, Vietnam, or any particular story beat… I guess cause it mostly doesn’t have one.
