A Perfect Shade Of Flamingo Blue: Tudor is bringing the Flair
Since the 1970s Tudor has developed a rich pedigree of motorsports watches, since the release of it’s very first Oysterdate. Offroad and underwater they also have their line of constantly iterated and improved professional divers’ watches. The happy middle of these two worlds is the seamless fusion in their sports chronograph, The Black Bay Chrono, with contrasting sub-counters and a high-performance automatic Manufacture Calibre, with column-wheel construction and vertical clutch. These are Tudor through and through with a 41mm diameter Satin-brushed and polished case in 316L stainless steel. It features the recognisably iconic “snowflake” hands. Finally It’s packed with a Chronograph Calibre MT5813 boasting a 70-hour power reserve, a tungsten monobloc rotor and polished surfaces with laser decorations.
With that said it’s not afraid to get a bit louder than usual with a domed flamingo blue dial, with contrasting circular sub-counters.
The Black Bay Chrono has always been a bold watch, and that was before they released the Black Bay Chrono Pink in 2024. The Flamingo Blue variant is just bringing the tradition forward another year.
