A Street Truck Named Vera
Swedish multinational car manufacturer, Volvo, has teamed up with Danish logistics group, DFDS, to create an AI for self-driving trucks.
Work began recently in California and Sweden and it has been garnered the name, Vera. The design features a fifth-wheel design to haul trailers or containers. Admittedly, Volvo unveiled Vera a couple of years ago and it had a design to help its functionality. It looks as you’d expect a souped-up super car to look – totally self-driving, as you’d expect with how cars are looking these days, with a top speed of around 38 kilometres per hour. Vera’s due to start test moving cargo in Sweden in the next few months by a monitored system control tower. Hopefully this new system will be put to good use around the world and further support the arrival for electric-driven vehicles.
