Arming the Monster
Don’t be fooled by the respectable Prospex badge Seiko has put on the SRPD25K1, it’s roots lie firmly in that of the Monster family, meaning its rough, ready, and aggressive in it’s design.
It isn’t here to mince words, it’s got a job to do. It seems almost inevitable that it would get absorbed into the superior Prospex line, designed for sports lovers and adventure seekers.
On the outside, it has a stainless-steel case and bracelet with a hardlex crystal lens. Beating away 21,600 times an hour, the 4R36 caliber internals stands alongside the tradition of its predecessors for reliability.
It comes with a rich blue dial which goes just as well with a suit as it does with your boaty gear. And with 200 metres water resistance, it’s hard to say that’s not exactly where it belongs.
