Audi AI:ME
At the CES this year, the world was introduced to the latest in the future gadgets. One of the leading trends this year was that of transportation. Fully-autonomous vehicles are here to stay, it seems. Big car names like Mercedes-Benz, Lamborghini, Honda and Toyota all showed off their latest concept ideas at this year’s show, but through my research I can’t find any of these concepts sporting a pergola roof, like Audi did with their Audi AI:ME concept.
Not planning to be put into production for a while, the AI:ME will be the fourth member of Audi’s futurised quartet that currently includes the Aicon, the AI:RACE and the AI:TRAIL. The AI:ME will showcase Audi’s devotion to driving into the future of tech.
Introduced to the world last year at Auto Shanghai 2019, the AI:ME was seen as being renowned for its intelligence, its AI and passenger safety via suggested routes of data collecting. The data will give the driver information on preferred destinations, connecting them with date, time and traffic info.
Reported to be like a ‘third-living space’, this luxurious concept is planned to be super spacious and intelligent. The concept design of the interior featured soft texture and wooden accents that will quieten outside clatter, be it the gawks of passing observers, or the soft hum of the electric motor.
The interior will also feature 3D OLED monitors that will run along the windscreen and be controlled by the driver’s eyes. The car will have a 65 kWh battery that will be able to push it up to 170 horsepower!
