Depending on your age, the catch cries “Be a Tidy Kiwi” and “Do the Right Thing” will bring back some 90s nostalgia. But as well as being a bit of feel good Kiwiana, they are part of a body of work from Keep New Zealand Beautiful, an organisation that has been working for half a century to help us deal with our trash. We talk to KNZB CEO, Heather Saunderson about the organisation’s current work, including research, community and school programmes, the impact of Covid on the environment and what we are littering most.
