Expedition 53 Launches to the International Space Station
The Soyuz MS-06 spacecraft launched in September 2017 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan with Expedition 53 crew members Joe Acaba of NASA, Alexander Misurkin of Roscosmos, and Mark Vande Hei of NASA.
The men will spend approximately 5½ months in space station, where they will continue work on hundreds of experiments in biology, biotechnology, physical science and Earth science aboard the International Space Station, humanity’s only permanently occupied microgravity laboratory.
