Explore with the EXPV
Superyachts are such beautiful structures. Eye-catching, intricately designed and manufactured, it is as though each one has its own story attached to it. Whenever you see one anchored up, you get that sense of exploration—that drifting into the unknown.
The London-based team at Harrison Eidsgaard have thought up a design for the most alluring-looking yacht, called EXPV, that’ll make you want to board it and go exploring. A radical 87.1-metre structure (set in two parts and linked with a floating glass bridge, designed by DeDe Voogt engineers) will offer two separate living areas for guests.
The first half of the superyacht is primarily designed for the owner, and can be entered privately. It includes all the obvious amenities, like an exclusive suite, plus a cheeky observation lounge, and a private terrace. Oh, and of course, there’s a heli-pad on top for good measure; a standard expectation with modern superyachts.
Between the two houses, and below that interlinking glass bridge, will sit the Ocean Lounge, with a beach club, indoor swimming pool and hydraulic platforms that open out to give 360 degree views of the sprawling sea before you.
For other standard guests, they get the back desk-house which includes six guest staterooms, private terraces, elevators, winding staircases, observation lounges and a bar.
And as for power, this thing can move. Imagined with a diesel-electric propulsion system that churns out 15.5 knots, at a range of 6,000 nautical miles.
