Gadgets: HP AMP 120 Printer
Sometimes stunning things happen when the best of both worlds combine. Peanut butter and jam. Cheese and wine. Printer and speaker. Ahh, the pleasures of 21st‑century living.
The HP AMP 120 combines the functionality of printer and speaker into a streamlined hybrid that delivers. You can easily print photos directly from your camera roll, the cloud or chosen social media platforms, thanks to the HP Smart App. The actual printing itself is not too shabby either! No waiting around in that dreaded ‘printer purgatory’.
But let’s talk about the speakers. Connect to the speaker via Bluetooth and you’re good to go. Connectivity and the issue of Bluetooth continually ‘searching’ can be an issue for some speakers; the HP AMP 120 didn’t have that issue and connected instantly. I personally road-tested the HP AMP 120 at the M2 offices and had way too much fun playing office DJ, pushing it through its paces with the likes of Pearl Jam, Dusty Springfield and Mos Def – the speaker performed with great clarity for soft tracks and with booming bass for music with a bit more bite to it.
If you’re looking for a printer or a speaker that can accommodate an office or even for home (this would be great for students), the HP AMP 120 adds that extra boost of colour and sound.
