Hannah Stocking: Beauty and the Brain
Hannah Stocking made her way up to the Oscars Red Carpet in perhaps a way inconceivable a few decades ago. She studied biology and chemistry, which already makes her more qualified than most actors to have an opinion on literally anything at all.
She’s dabbled in film here and there but not anything breakout. Most of her most recognisable roles in old media were in music videos for Blink-182 and G-eazy back in the day, as well as Justin Bieber later. But success doesn’t make itself. She quickly became a star on Vine, which translated to other social media accounts where she now enjoys incredible subscriber numbers for her comedy sketches and science based educational series, because why let a good biology and chemistry degree go to waste. She’s the first the first creator to receive the Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Pioneer Award at the United Nations. She’s part of the new media celebrity class, and you only get there by having a magnetic personality, good humour, and a nose for engaging your audience. Being drop dead gorgeous also helps.
