Tiger: Hyundai’s Vehicle That Climbs Walls
All the way back in 2019, Hyundai Motors debuted a concept that got some car lovers jumping in glee and others guffawing in doubt. Called Elevate, the concept was designed with four leg-like extensions that would see drivers able to climb and haul over the city streets. Since buying Boston Robotics for a cool $1 billion dollars, Hyundai has developed and are set to produce the next big thing to the market, The Tiger.
Redefined and remastered, Hyundai has revealed their latest concept design, called Tiger. Designed to carry cargo and heavy loads over rough terrain, it looks more like a space rover than anything else. The wheel-equipped attachments will allow the driver a 360 degree view of the surrounding earth. The walking car will be able to traverse uneven terrain, climb a wall and spread its legs up to 15-foot!
According to Hyundai, “TIGER is intended to carry payloads over remote and inaccessible terrain and designed to operate as a four-wheel drive vehicle or a four-legged walking machine”.
See some images below of the concept and all that it could be capable of. We think it’s pretty rad – don’t you?
