Nike are always taking the next steps in footwear world domination. We know the brand and we know the style. One thing that we don’t really know about are the laces, but we soon will do. The Nike HyperAdapt self-lacing sneakers have been in the headlines for a while now for being the creme-de-la-creme of all the footwear. Nicknamed the EARL (Electric Adaptable Reaction Lacing), the laces automatically fasten together from the pressure placed onto the heel of the shoe. Next they’ll light up, sense your activity, and adjust to your foot movement in real time as you go about your day. These shoes have been out for a while, and can be purchased on Nike’s website for USD$720.
