Rock Till You Drop
Florida is a melting-point in so many different ways. with its temperature reaching around 32C daily no matter the season, the cultural significance of the State is brimming at the boil.
The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is set to open its doors in Hollywood, South Florida. It’s a nod to the musical influences that have come from the state and is set to cost up to NZD$2.3 billion for an October launch.
When I say musical influences, I mean names like Ray Charles and even the ‘King’ himself, Elvis Presley. The coolest thing about this hotel? It’s shaped like a guitar. The 137 metres-tall resort is 638 rooms, suites and pool-side huts. Guests will enter through the large entrance doors into a ‘retail corridor’, restaurants, bars, a nightclub and casino. The lower entertainment hall has a 6,500 concert venue with 100 performances already on its bill, including Maroon 5 for their opening. Music is definitely alive and well in Florida.
