Samsung “The Wall”
“The Wall” is so much more than just a huge TV set, it’s a massive breakthrough in the development of televised entertainment. It even changes size. Whatever the viewer wants, “The Wall” gives.
The world’s first modular MicroLED 146-inch TV featuring self-emitting technology has landed in the market. MicroLED’s are a lot smaller than regular LED’s as they serve as their own source of light, delivering on more brightness, brighter white hues and the ‘truest’ natural colours. Presented during this year’s First Look event, “The Wall” is so much more than just a bloody big TV set, it’s a massive breakthrough in the development of televised entertainment. It even changes size. Whatever the viewer wants, “The Wall” gives. With its 8K UHD (7680 by 4320 pixels) “The Wall” is brighter and emmett’s its own energy-efficient light-source, making background specs brighter without the assistance of background energy being used. “The Wall” has grabbed hold of AI (Artificial Intelligence) as well by allowing a voice-recognition digital assistant, Bixby, to respond to any type of command. Want to change channels? Ask Bixby! Want to search the internet? Ask Bixby! There seems to be nothing “The Wall” can’t do.
“As the world’s first consumer modular MicroLED television, ‘The Wall’ represents another breakthrough. It can transform into any size, and delivers incredible brightness, color gamut, color volume and black levels,”- Jonghee Han, President of Visual Display Business at Samsung.
The TV itself delivers incredible definition without the size getting in the way of giving a top-quality image. The screen can adapt to serve different purposes, such as creating a wall-size display for multiple spaces and making a large image that truly gets to the core of what entertainment is all about. It’s about being there in the moment and going back for more and I think Samsung has done just that with their latest invention.
