The Mullet Is Back
It’s Summer. You know what that means right? Business up front and party at the back. We took the crew to BarberShopCo again for some fresh new looks and left them in the capable hands of the professional barbers there, who picked out the looks. We sent a photographer along as well to capture the process. Regan’s look was handled by Genevieve who gave him a French crop with a twist, the legendary mullet. Perhaps it’s the only thing that can truly save 2020.
Regan has thick wavy hair, which makes it absolutely perfect for rocking a cropped mullet. This isn’t for any old pleb. Only the truly blessed may wear it.
This short French crop mullet is achieved with faded sides and a light blend which moves around the back to gradually blend into the French crop on top. To bring out Regan’s natural curls, Genevieve took some weight out the back to let them really pop off.
Styling
Products used for this look are: the King Brown Grooming Spray and the Bowery Holdfast.
The Bowery Holdfast is perfect for adding texture to the top, and doing two or three sprays of the King Brown Grooming Spray after applying the Bowery Holdfast is the perfect way to cap the whole thing off.
You have a couple of options for how to wear this day to day. You can either go textured and dirty, or soft and fresh.
You can add more texture to your look by spraying the King Brown Grooming Spray onto dry or mildly damp hair and then style loosely. Finish up by drying with a hairdryer or use a towel to rough up the top a bit. This should also help get the perfect curl in the back, and adding some of the Grooming Spray in the back will help enhance the curl and give it a perfect crunch.
