The two-seater sports car offers the perfect balance of performance and driver reward. With a more muscular, assertive design and a cabin defined by rich materials and elegant details, the new F-TYPE exhibits the Jaguar design DNA in its purest form.
The concept for the F-TYPE was created by Ian Callum, former Head of Design in 2000. Callum presented the vehicle as a two-seat convertible with a 3.0-litre V6 engine. The Jaguar team had a goal to interrupt the lightweight sports car industry. Now, the Jaguar design team has elevated the award-winning vehicle to fit modern day advancements, making the F-TYPE a front runner in the lightweight sports car segment.
The new F-TYPE is available in three engine variations: P300 R-Dynamic, P380 R-Dynamic, and P575 R. The range of powerful, responsive engines includes four-, six- and eight-cylinder options, all matched to eight-speed Quickshift transmissions with full manual control. Long, windy roads were built for this vehicle.
With a roar that would outclass any large cat, the new F-TYPE model P575 R can gain a speed of 0-100km/h in just 3.6 seconds. Experiencing racetrack quality and pulse-quickening speed, the F-TYPE will get the hair on the back of your neck standing up. You can be sure to skip your morning coffee.
Not only powerful in performance, the F-TYPE’s award-winning design has evolved further with a focus on even greater purity and discipline to the perfectly sculpted form. Super-slim pixel LED headlights blend perfectly into the ‘liquid metal’ surfacing of the new clamshell bonnet, exaggerating the cars visual width and accentuating its assertive stance.
The interior combines traditional Jaguar craftsmanship with rich, contemporary materials such as Windsor Leather and satin-finish Noble Chrome. Beautiful details include monogram stitch patterns in the seats and door trims, Jaguar Leaper motifs in the headrests and subtle ‘Jaguar Est.1935’ markings on the centre console finisher, glovebox release button and seatbelt guides.
With a focus on new age technology, the tech guru in all of us will be kept entertained. The new F-TYPE offers more driver-focused technology, including a high-definition 12.3-inch digital dash, Touch Pro infotainment system and Smartphone Pack with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto. Jaguar customers will experience the future from the comfort of their garage with Software-over-the-air functionality. This advancement means future software updates can be made at the customer’s convenience without having to visit a retailer.
