This Short Scissor Cut Is Perfect for Summer Work & Play
It’s a new season and that means it’s time to start rethinking your style. Since we’re now in Summer, we decided to head back to BarberShopCo. and get the lads a new cut. Once again, we left it in the barbers capable hands to pick the look. But just so you don’t have to wander in, motion at your head and say “make me look good,” we’ve taken some notes and style tips that you can take home with you.
First up was Dillon, who was taken care of by BarberShopCo’s Matt. Matt opted to go for a Short Scissor Cut that’s perfect for any occasion. It’s versatile enough for a day in the office and the boardroom, but equally casual enough to not look like a total stiff when you’re having drinks with the boys later.
Styling
The products used by Matt for this style were the Bowery Holdfast, King Brown Matte Pomade and King Brown Texture Spray.

The King Brown Matte Pomade give masculine notes of leather, basil, vernal grass and timber. The Matte Pomade also offers a light to medium styling hold, because you don’t have too much to keep in line, this look practically takes care of itself.
If you’re going to maintain this style at home simply use Bowery Holdfast or King Brown Matte Pomade in the morning, apply it aggressively throughout and then style into shape. If you were using the Bowery Holdfast apply a thumbnail sized amount to your palm, rub together and work into your hair starting at the roots. Sweep your hands through for a “I just woke up but I look totally sweet” look or sweep a comb through for a bit more of a purposeful look.
