This Weekend There’s Only one Way To Remember Ozzy Osborne
Today we were all shocked by the passing of rock god and Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osborne at the age of 76. Just days ago he was performing live on stage, rocking till the very end. I don’t think anyone could summarise his legacy better than Youngblud’s backstage moment with him not so long ago. Youngblud was gifting Ozzy a cross as a thankyou, a necklace to match his own.
“If there’s anything we can ever do for you just-” Ozzy started.
“You know what” interupts Youngblud “the f*cking music was enough. Thankyou so much honestly. You gave me an outlet.”
Now he’s gone we’re left with the one thing he gifted this world, the legacy of new musicians inspired to build off what he started, and of course his tunes.
If you’re located anywhere near Spark Arena you still have a chance to pick up tickets for the Full Metal Orchestra on Saturday 26 July 2025. It’s a first-of-its-kind event bringing together the raw power of rock and metal with a 29-piece classical orchestra, a five-piece band, and a lineup of iconic guest vocalists, creating a sound that’s heavy, high-octane, and unforgettable. Expect metal anthems from the likes of Metallica, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, and AC/DC, supercharged by soaring orchestral arrangements, searing guitars, powerhouse vocals and epic visuals.

I’m not sure how long it takes to teach two rugby teams worth of musicians how to do arrange more Black Sabbath songs, but if Conductor Sarah Grace Williams isn’t thinking about it now, maybe she should. Their sponsored by local energy drink powerhouse Mānuka Phuel so maybe a couple palettes of drinks and a couple late nights are in order. The show is produced by award-winning hitmaker Jol Mulholland.
“This partnership embodies a shared dedication to innovation, high-energy and pushing creative limits, delivering an unforgettable and epic musical experience that will phuel the

“After the global success of SYNTHONY, the question was: what’s next? The answer was obvious – rock and metal,” said David Higgins, Founder of Duco Touring. “We’ve always believed great things happen when worlds collide, and Full Metal Orchestra is proof.”
