Tom Hiddleston is living proof that dancing on Tik Tok isn’t a dead end pursuit of putting yourself on display for the pleasure of others. Although as an actor that’s just a Tuesday.
While he’s best known for his role as Loki in the Disney MCU, we’ll soon be seeing him busting moves in The Life of Chuck directed by Mike Flanagan. Based on the Stephen King short story the film is played in reverse chronological order and involves dancing as a key aspect.
Flanagan was shown a clip of Hiddleston going for it on Tik Tok, which convinced him to pursue the actor over an unknown. “He had a completely unfiltered joy on his face,” Flanagan told Vanity Fair “He was a good dancer, but that wasn’t what struck me. I wasn’t amazed by the technique so much as the degree of happiness that was radiating off of him. The look on his face made me smile the same way I smiled reading that particular portion of the book.”
