Versace For the Winners Circle
The best way to earn yourself a little prestige is by associating yourself with success, with winners, maybe a little dash of fame and beauty can’t hurt either. Versace had the Oscars this year on lock by ticking all of these boxes.
The Best Actor award went to Cillian Murphy for his performance in Christoper Nolan’s Oppenheimer. At the same time it was revealed that he was part of the new Versace Icons campaign. Perhaps the dead giveaway was the fact he was wearing a custom Atelier Versace tailored suit to accept his award in.
He wasn’t the only one who was sporting Versace either. Margot Robbie, America Ferrera, Regina King and Dwyane Wade all graced the look.
America Ferrera looked stunning on the red carpet in a punk metal mesh column dress. The material is entirely bespoke and each chain was hand-linked, taking 7 craftsmen over 600 hours to complete.
Matthew “alright, alright, alright” McConaughey wore a tailored chocolate suit with a peak lapel in contrast satin. On his arm his wife Camilla Alves McConaughey smouldered in a Versace fluted bust with crystal embroidery. The eye catching bustier took almost as long as Ferrara’s dress, clocking in at 550 hours of construction time among six craftsmen.
While you’d need a king’s ransom to get these custom pieces Versace has plenty of formal-wear ready to go right now.
