Watches And Wonders 2024: Hublot
SQUARE BANG UNICO
Everybody wants a Bang these days. The Square Bang started life as an everyday wearable made of titanium, but as demand increased it slowly got propelled into a luxury item. This has left Hublot in a bind as they invent their next watch, which has all the value of gold, with all of the sturdiness of titanium. Finally revealed at Watches and Wonders the Square Bang Unico is now available in what they call “magic gold”. It’s the only 18-karat gold alloy in the world. This means It’s scratch resistant gold, and Hublot hasn’t been shy about using it all over the piece, safe in the knowledge it’s not going to get banged up, even by the most rowdy of wearers. Two expressions of this piece have been made, one is microblasted black ceramic with a Magic Gold bezel or the other is entirely made from 18K Magic Gold. The full Magic Gold watch is limited to just 200 pieces.
Big Bang Unico Dark Green Ceramic
Alongside the Magic Gold Hublot are also releasing a limited run duo Big Bang Unico Orange Ceramic and Big Bang Unico Dark Green Ceramic. The orange ceramic piece is unique as hublot had to invent the material themselves but personally we’re a fan of the more outdoorsy camo-style Dark Green model. It has a classic 42mm case with a three day power reserve and water resistance up to 100m. It has a skeletonised dial and hands, hinting at the complexity inside and showing off the iconic column wheel at 6 o’clock. The strap is Black and Green Structured Lined Rubber and features the patented Hublot “One-Click” interchangeable bracelet design for quick customisation.
This is a limited edition of just 250 pieces.
