Water-Filled Headphones and The Best Of Tech You Need Right Now
Have you ever wondered what music Aquaman listens to? No, neither have we, but if he were to listen to music, he’d listen to it using these headphones. Royal College of Art’s, Rocco Giovannoni has recently designed a pair of headphones that are, in fact, full of water. Yep, you read that right. Titled Inmergo headphones, the head-piece is designed with soft silicone to improve sound quality in accordance to the structure of the ear. It is also filled with water, as to send the sound through a liquid to create a barrier for outside noise. The headphones have been designed with two models. A two-unit set of headphones and five-unit fully-immersive helmet that wraps around the skull. Both units are solidified by ultrasonic gel to amplify the sounds. As this device is only a prototype at the moment, release dates are few, but we hope to try out these headphones some time soon.

Roam For WiFi
For any world-travelling businessman, connecting to Wi-Fi in a foreign country is oftentimes a daunting experience. Imagine: you’re sitting in an airport having just deboarded a 16 hour flight and you need the directions to your hotel. Google Maps is your only option. No one about speaks your language, and just pointing, haphazardly at your phone, you think, is way too culturally insensitive. You need WiFi and you need it quickly. Founded in 2008, Skyroam cater for that exact issue. They’ve recently released their latest product called the Solis X Global WiFi device. The gadget gives a 4G LTE internet connection and built-in power bank of 4,700 mAh and connect up to 10 different devices. It can act as a remote camera too, so even when you take those memorable holiday snaps, you can also connect them to your Facebook. These products can be bought online for $179.
An Ally In All
Charging any Apple product can oftentimes be a stressful experience. That one call-out at a party for a charger: “does anyone else here have an iPhone?”
Hong Kong-based EGO Innovated Ltd., recently released a way that everyone at the party can charge their devices. Launched as a Kickstarter, this little device, called the Air Ally, has a 10,000 mAh rechargeable battery that is designed to simultaneously charge all Apple devices. The earlybird pledge is NZD$111 and they are planned to be delivered in December this year.
Augmented Swimming Reality
Finally we can stare at a screen while doing breaststroke. While Google Glass has fallen by the wayside, Form promises swimming goggles with a smart display built in. The Form Swim Goggles is the perfect tool for people wanting to push themselves to the limit, with a HUD featuring metrics such as split times, stroke rate, pace per 100, distance, and calories burned. It can run on a single charge for 16 hours.
The display can be worn over either the left or right eye, and the goggles are Bluetooth capable, so they’ll send your performance back to your phone, which hopefully isn’t with you in the pool.
Pricing starts at US$199.
