We All Live in a Yellow BnB
In the 1966 smash hit, Yellow Submarine by the Beatles, the lyrics tell of a man who lives in an aforementioned yellow vessel. How joyous the man was, travelling to the sea, telling us of his stories “beneath the waves”. It is apparently reported by Paul McCartney himself that the song is not about or written under the influence drugs. I remain skeptical, in all honesty.
The Beatles have been the backbone of pop culture. They were formed in Liverpool in 1960 and truly defined a concoction of skiffle, beat and rock n’ roll. Their names have been carved into musical history since their starting. Their band members: the legendary John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr are known by the world as being the most influential musicians in history.
In little ol’ Rangitīkei, Keith and Jen Lovelock converted their own yellow submarine into an Airbnb. Upon arrival, guests will come face-to-face with Lennon himself and the inside is decorated with dystopian architecture. In the middle of the space, which once held torpedos, it now leads to a themed bathroom and bedroom. A very cool tourist attraction for any Beatles enthusiasts. Guests can spend time in this yellow submarine for $120 a night.
