Your Own Personal Super Sub
Did you know that over 70 percent of the Earth’s surface is ocean, and only five percent of that has been discovered. Makes you think, doesn’t it, how many of the world’s mysteries are actually trapped on the sea bed? According to the online Hawaiian information database, Ke Alaka’i, there are more historic artifacts under the sea than in all of the world’s museums. Makes you want to hop into your private submarine and go exploring, right?
Recently, Netherland-based, U-boat Worx have revealed their latest deep-sea watercraft, the Super Sub. A couple of years ago, U-boat Worx released their Nexus, Nemo and Cruise models, to much excitement and pomp. With the Super Sub, however, sea explorers are being blown out of the water.
With its state-of-the-art motors and hydrodynamic design (with side-fins and long tail included, of course) the submarines will give it a top cruising speed of a bottlenose dolphin. For those who don’t know off the top of their heads the speed of marine mammals, that’s around 10-knots.
On top of that, the Super Sub is also equipped with an additional propulsion system of four powerful thrusters that can deliver up to 60 kilowatts of oomph and can deliver a diving depth of 300 metres. For the deep-sea explorer at the wheel of the submarine, it’s a breeze (or a soft wave, if we’re talking in nautical-term). The model is steered with a SHARC Controller joystick, like you’re playing an arcade game. And, of course, the 360-degree unobstructed views are to die for.
Originally, U-boat Worx had introduced this fast and reliable submarine in 2021, where the first ever model had been sold to a retailer. Further sea-dwelling trials are scheduled for mid-2023, and then who knows, perhaps you too can purchase one of the coolest and fastest submarines ever sea[en] on the seven seas.
