Kicking It with Brando – Autumn/Winter 2026
Brando’s going feet first into autumn and winter. Just because its shoes are Italian-made doesn’t mean the brand doesn’t know what we need here in New Zealand and across the ditch: sharper mornings, longer shadows and a shift towards structured dressing.
Founded by Rocco Mascitelli after years spent in Italy’s Marche shoemaking region, Brando was born from a deep passion for artisanal techniques and premium materials. And you thought “Brando” was an Italian-sounding name.
Since 1988, Brando has earned a reputation for creating footwear that blends tradition with modern style, worn by celebrities, athletes, politicians and everyday men who appreciate quality.
On the left, the Chiado Lace-Ups by Brando redefine the modern derby with a focus on minimalist design and everyday versatility. Made from smooth leather, the shoes feature a clean, understated upper in either a rich dark-chocolate hue or classic black.
Below, the Ballard Crafted Loafers are made from smooth black leather. They feature a distinctive silver-tone buckle across the vamp, replacing the traditional penny slot for a more industrial feel.

Above, the Haight Casual Loafers feature a rich tan finish, a classic penny strap and distinctive moc-toe stitching. Set on a chunky lugged-rubber sole, they provide added height and reliable durability, making them ideal for the modern professional seeking a balance of comfort and utilitarian style.

The Jagger Casual Loafer by Brando strikes a balance between artisanal character and relaxed, everyday sophistication. Handcrafted in Italy with a sleek, low-profile design, the Jagger brings a touch of Italian flair to a versatile wardrobe essential. This tassel loafer is made from premium washed leather with a lived-in texture and tonal depth. Its classic apron front and refined silhouette make it an ideal companion for smart-casual trousers or a way to elevate off-duty denim.
