A New DJ System That’s Easy On The Eyes As Well As Ears
While the Myers NmG and Aston Martin Superleggera are technically both ‘cars’ that can get you from A to B – let’s be honest, you’d only drive one of them around to pick up your date on a Saturday night!
It’s exactly the same scenario with DJ systems, there are some decks that are perfectly functional in every way – except they lack one very important category: looks. Which may not be too much of a problem if you’re only playing for friends but, as you get better at your craft, more and more gigs will start to roll in. Then, what may look okay at a mate’s flat on a Friday night can appear distinctly unprofessional at a fashion show in a five star hotel or on a livestream for a VIP club. If you want the sophisticated – and higher-paying – gigs you need to have the gear to match.
Pure sophistication in design
The all-new OPUS-QUAD from Pioneer is the ultimate deck for the DJ who plays at a variety of diverse locales. As well as providing a standalone 4-deck playback – a first for a Pioneer DJ all-in-one DJ system – the OPUS-QUAD also features a sophisticated design that helps it blend into the most urbane events and environments. With its matte black finish and earth-coloured slits on the front and sides, the OPUS-QUAD looks the money while its sloping top plate and curved front edge ensure it is smooth and easy to use as well. Plus, the stylish dimples and textured finish on the outer and top parts of the jogs also help deliver a perfect grip.
4 decks for more versatility
But the OPUS-QUAD is more than just a pretty face, the standalone 4-deck playback also allows for more versatility in performance. This means you can play 4 tracks on 4 different decks simultaneously, cue up tracks in advance, or leave one free to handle requests – all with just the one unit. You can also assign a different colour to each deck, and to the jog rings, so you’ll always know which deck you’re playing with.
Easy-to-use professional effects
Plus, the OPUS-QUAD has all the tools to help you pump up the crowd; the XY-Pad makes it easy to control features such as FX Bank and channel select. Just one finger on the pad is all you need to control or blend the Beat FX parameters and the cut-off frequency of the filter. You can also easily trigger a pre-assigned echo with Smooth Echo and each channel also features Sound Color FX for even more possibilities to wow.
Any source is good
No matter if you prefer to use a USB, the cloud, SSD drive, your PC or even just a phone as your music source, you can use any or all of these options with the OPUS-QUAD. The unit has 4 USB inputs covering Type-C, Type-A (3.2) as well as two standard Type-A ports. Plus, you can connect via Wi-Fi® to wirelessly play tracks from your smartphone using rekordbox*1, or by using rekordbox CloudDirectPlay.
Finding your tracks has never been easier either with a 10.1-inch touch screen to quickly search via the keyboard or use Playlist Bank for quick navigation between playlists. With Touch Preview, you can even preview tracks while browsing. The new Smart Rotary Selector offers a joystick-like experience with left/right, up/down, rotation, and push control while the new Smart Cue feature lets you automatically overwrite the current cue position with recalled Hot Cues.
High-quality sound – in multiple zones
If you’re in charge of all the music throughout a multi-faceted facility like a hotel, the OPUS-QUAD can help – even if they’re wildly different needs. Zone output lets you play different music to different areas – like piano jazz in the bar while the party is going on in the hall – all from the one unit. Plus, the OPUS-QUAD’s high-quality 32-bit D/A converter from ESS Technology eliminates transmission and AD-DA conversion loss.
The all-new Pioneer OPUS-QUAD DJ system isn’t just a professional deck, it is the deck for music professionals. Featuring supreme quality in both design and performance, this is a DJ system that matches the growing sophistication of your performance as you perform at more sophisticated events.
