But if pop songs and teen romances aren’t really on your radar, that’s fine. He’s a triple threat anyway, his recent sneaker style collaboration with New York-based footwear designer Paul Andrew supporting his burgeoning acting and singing careers.
Style, music and star power all come together in Edgar Wright’s musically inclined action heist movie Baby Driver. The movie has earned rave reviews and, at the time of writing, has a 100 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Ansel, whose face does have a certain baby quality about it I suppose, has some insane scenes in the film, including a three-minute single take that involves a ton of choreography.
“There was light at the end of the tunnel in that one day I would be made to look like a badass in a driving film,” he told Variety.
Lily James’ career has been a regular feature of our lives since her role as Rose Aldridge in Downton Abbey, but her role as love interest Debora in Baby Driver is a bit of a change in direction from previous parts in movies including the recent live-action Cinderella film. She seems to have had a particular bent for literary heroines, as she’s also starred in War and Peace as well as Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
The young pair can certainly claim the ‘badass’ moniker as they continue their ascent to fame.
