Brand New Heights
Jacob Elordi is on an absolute tear at the moment. If you aren’t familiar with his face yet, you will be. The Australian born actor has been making the last 12 months his as he first starred in Guillermo Del Toro’s Frankenstein as the creature itself, and now as the lead in Wuthering Heights where his dayjob was to method act being really into Margot Robbie, a role most of us having been preparing for since Wolf of Wallstreet. Prior to that he’s been a staple on Euphoria.
The 28 year old has earned an Oscar nod for his portrayal of Frankenstein’s monster, but it came at the expense of going against his mum. He came into contact with Del Toro’s work when he first bumped into Pans Labyrinth. “And I saw the tree and the little girl, and I turned it around, the DVD case, and I saw the Pale Man. And I remember thinking, what is that,”
His mum let him watch it, but with the stern warning “She (mother) said you must never work with this man”.
Upon hearing this Del Toro quipped back “It’s good to disobey one’s mother”.

Elordi knows how to smolder, his red carpet looks have been on point, and he’s made the perfect smouldering love interest in Wuthering Heights. Margot described to Jimmy Kimmel her friends getting half cut at a private screening of the film and going ape for Elordi.
“They were like rabid dogs and they were a couple of drinks in already, and then the movie started and they were screaming so much,” she said. “Everyone’s wearing lace, corsets and veils, and drunk and screaming at the screen. And when Jacob came on screen, I think it registered on the Richter scale; they screamed so loud. Honestly, I was like, if he walked in right now, I think they would eat him. So it was safer that he wasn’t there.”

Girls love a bad boy who doesn’t listen to his mum occasionally.
He has picked a fight though, stating on an interview with Hot Ones that Aussies make the best burgers “Australians make the best burgers in the world because they put everything on them” Which I’m happy to contest for no other reason than to keep the zest in Australia and New Zealand’s relationship.
