Cool It Down
Moncler, the luxury Italian outerwear and lifestyle brand, has recently unveiled its technical skiwear collection for the fall/winter season of 2022. Dubbed as Moncler Grenoble, the line is engineered for peak performance on the slopes and offers a range of options for the whole family of skiers.
The collection features a layered approach to full-look propositions, providing skiers and outdoor enthusiasts with the necessary gear for every moment of mountain life. From pursuits at the summit to downtime in the chalet, Moncler Grenoble boasts technically innovative fabrications that push the pieces beyond fashion and beyond performance. Shared style cues, palettes, details, and fabrications across the Grenoble family add to the cohesive and considered alpinewear appeal.
For men, the collection offers high-performance outerwear designed to endure and perform in the most extreme conditions. Options include the Brizon shell jacket, a waterproof, windproof, and highly breathable jacket featuring taped seams, impenetrable YKK AquaGuard zippers, and an adjustable hood with a rigid visor. There is also the unlined and highly breathable Hinterburg jacket in indomitable recycled Gore-Tex laminate, which offers a versatile packable shell layer for topping off soft knits or fleeces. For colder days, the down Cerniat ski jacket features strategically integrated PrimaLoft Gold Insulation Active and comes equipped with a powder skirt, strap and snap closures to the front flap, thumb loop embossed stretch cuffs, exterior ski pass, and interior phone pockets, as well as a lens cleaning cloth and RECCO Reflector.
In addition to high-performance options, the collection also offers performance and style pieces for more relaxed slopes. These include the down-filled Isorno jacket with a cozy, snood-like adjustable hood, ski pass pocket, internal phone pocket, and powder skirt, as well as the popular Mazod jacket in a variety of colors and finishes, including high-visibility orange and dynamic printed recycled nylon ripstop.
For après ski, the collection features casual yet ingenious layers that address the full spectrum of the mountain lifestyle. These include the reversible Hostun jacket, offering tactile teddy fleece or ripstop nylon sides, the Waier check overshirt, and the hooded longline Tratten parka. Knitted jumpers, hoodies, as well as cozy hats and scarves complete the off-piste uniform.
In the women’s collection, high-performance outerwear is offered in a range of silhouettes, lengths, and weights to be mixed and matched with corresponding underlayers. Standout options include the striking Hainet jacket in elegant ice blue or color-blocked pale pink, red, and white, and the Teche jacket in bold red, black, or clean white. The Chanavey jacket, available in vibrant options of pink or green, as well as classic black, is designed with a classic fit for long-lasting versatility. The collection also features a collaboration with experts Reusch, offering gloves in pink, powder blue, and black, and a mitten model in black or white. Both Reusch for Moncler Grenoble styles offer PrimaLoft Bio insulation, a flexible softshell, and sheepskin leather palm, as well as a Gore-Tex membrane for the best performance in all weather, with an added pocket to store a heating pad or keep a ski pass to hand.
