What’s your morning routine?
Wake up at 6am, take the dog out for a run, have breakfast with family and listen to podcasts on the way to work.
What are the top three things on your bucket list?
Photography tour around India, preferably with legendary Steve McCurry.
Taking the whole family for an epic skiing trip to Japan.
Learn to play the ukulele.
What advice would you give your 20 year-old self?
Know that it’s okay to fail as it’s the best way to learn. And being 40 is not bad.
How do you stay motivated?
Constantly pursue personally meaningful and achiavable goals. And listen to inspirational people, including my kids. They truly amaze you every day.
If you didn’t need money, what would you do?
Set up a design hotel and find more time to focus on charity work.
What is the secret to success?
Clichéd maybe, but it works: Find the thing that motivates you and do it as well as you possibly can. It has certainly taken me through career paths I would have never envisioned.
What is the worst mistake you’ve made and how did you fix it?
Letting couple of great business opportunities pass due to inaction. I’ve learned to adapt more a ‘go for it!’ mentality over time.
What is your advice for people to fund their dream?
Have large goals in mind and split them into smaller actionable items. And find great mentors who’ve done it all before – there is so much wisdom out there.
What is the best bit of advice, or quote, that resonates with you?

What’s your favourite restaurant?
Most French will do, but for a consistent, honest fare, we always go to Le garde-manger.
What is the secret of living a longer, more successful life?
Being active, satisfying personally important goals, and spending time with those most important to you.
