M2 Photo Series: Grass Is Greener
Serbian rower Marko Dragosavljević tours the Danube as he practices for upcoming competitions. The shot was taken in the swamps between Krnjača and Pančevo, near Belgrade. His training also took him past Golubac Fortress, a 14th century fortress renowned for repelling over 120 conquering attacks, but also failing enough to change hands repeatedly between Turks, Bulgarians, Hungarians, Serbs, and Austrians, until 1867. If you ever find yourself in a world you can travel in again, we recommend checking it out on your Danube boat tour.
