After jumping into a new year, we decided to treat a couple of our guys to the full BarberShopCo experience. The team there set us up nicely with fresh cuts back after the first couple of lockdowns and the results were fantastic. So we thought, a new year is just as special as a lockdown finishing, may as well get a new look.
We let the team at BarberShopCo take the lead on the style and we catalogued the results, for posterity and edification for anyone trying to find a new look that suits. Barber Sammie did an excellent job with our man Thomas, leaving him sporting a new Faux Hawk. It’s a classic look with a low zero fade along the sides and back with a textured top length. Faux hawks can be spotted on everyone from Cristiano Ronaldo to Beckham.
Thomas’s beard was also instrumental in pulling off this look. The tops have been faded from the skin with it sporting longer length along the sides to give it that sharp definition. The rest of the beard has been trimmed and squared away to give Thomas a tidy look. Beards are always great, but a domesticated one will help pull you out of the crowd from the riff raff. In sum total, this aesthetic is perfect for any bold modern man who’s willing to stand out and look cool doing so.
These are the products you’ll need for the hair and moustache. The King Brown Sea Salt spray helps to achieve volume and texture, and you should finish it all up with the Bowery Holdfast to mould the final style you’re aiming for that day.
Use the Bowery beard oil on your beard’s roots to keep and maintain moisture. This is good for keeping good beard health and is also scented with Argan oil so you’re smelling your best. Finish it up with the Ernest Empire beard balm to style the beard and keep it under control throughout the day.
