Tudor’s Black Bay Ceramic is getting a team exclusive version for the new Visa Cash App RB Formula One team. If you’re an F1 fan keep an eye on what Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda are sporting this season. The 41mm piece has contemporary aesthetics with high tech details and subtle nods to its heritage. Tudor refers to this as being “neo-vintage in conception” while maintaining their modern standards of manufacturing techniques, reliability, robustness and the quality.
On the inside is a self-winding Manufacture Calibre MT5602-1U which uses a silicon hairspring and packs a 70-hour power reserve making it weekend-proof.
It’s been certified by METAS Master Chronometer certification which puts it through a grueling regime under cruel conditions to see if it maintains accuracy. That means they’ve done everything from making sure It keeps accuracy within a magnetic field of 15,000 gauss and has a waterproofness up to 200m.
The dial has Tudors classic Snowflake hands, a hallmark of their divers’ watches, coated in Grade X1 Swiss Super-LumiNova luminous material.
The strap is a hybrid leather and rubber with blue stitching that matches the dial. If that isn’t to your liking the watch also comes with a complimentary black fabric strap with blue centre band.
F1 fans could do worse than picking up one of these to have a piece of motorsport precision on them at all times.
