Let’s Talk About The Prada Fall Winter 2023 Collection
Prada has taken the modern sensibilities of reduction and simplicity and crashed them right up against exaggeration, comfort and intimacy in this new collection by Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons. With Raf Simons closing up his brand after three decades at the top of his game he now has the space and time to put a tight laser focus in his role at Prada.
We got our first look at the new looks at the Fondazione Prada in Milano, Italy. The space mirrored the character of the clothes, elongated or abbreviated in equal measure. Show invites went out as pillows and pillow cases, a small taste of things to come. Their echoes show through in the poofy white cotton jackets and gilets. Models carried leather tote bags which also translated in chrome, white, black and other gloss hues. The shoes were a consistent pair of derbies with a flare on top, and throughout an aviation theme took root as inspiration for bomber jackets, slim fit pants and buttonless shirts.
