Man On The Street – Jadyn Dixon
One of the youngest people we’ve featured on Man On The Street, Jadyn Dixon hasn’t let that stop him from aspiring to great things. Beginning with a 3:30AM wakeup call some days is a start to the day for any successful man right? Or just a crazy person. Either way, check out what Jadyn has to say…
Age: 22
Occupation: REAL ESTATE AGENT
WHAT’S YOUR MORNING ROUTINE?
This one varies. Some weeks I will start my days at crazy hours like 3:30 or 4am, which will allow me to pack lots of work into the day. However some weeks I will do the normal 7am wake up . I will always get straight to the office, make a coffee (as they say “behind every successful person is a cup of coffee”) and plan out my day – important calls to make/appointments/to do lists. This and of course, my daily goals to be achieved. My fitness is done after work, not in the morning like most.
WHAT ARE THE TOP THREE THINGS ON YOUR BUCKET LIST?
1. Build and design my very own country estate – I love the countryside and I really want to build my very own retreat so I can always escape the busy life and relax.
2. Travel the entire word. I want to experience different cultures, embrace different parts of the world and learn how they live. I feel like there is so much growth to be had when you start to see the world as a whole and learn what it’s about.
3. Build my very own company and leave behind a legacy.
HOW DO YOU STAY MOTIVATED?
I listen to some key people such as Chris Helder. I listen frequently as his words and opinions on life resonate well for me. I have probably listened to one of his audio books 8 or so times now. I have mentors and people who keep me on track. I also do a lot of mental work, keep my mindset right, review my goals and surround myself with the right people. If you hang out with winners, the conversation is different and it’s so important that you hang out with people who lift you up and not bring you down.
IF YOU DIDN’T NEED MONEY, WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
I would help people! I would love to get involved with people less fortunate, help them get their life on track, help them to grow as people. I love motivating people and making them feel better about themselves. If money wasn’t important, I would travel the world and work with anyone I could to help them move forward in life. Training is expensive and if I could do it for free, then that would be amazing!
WHAT IS THE SECRET TO SUCCESS?
Failure, I honestly think people are so scared about failing that they don’t even try… and being scared to try kills more dreams than failure ever will! People need to understand that through failure, we learn and become better the next time. The secret is to just get started, go fail, pick yourself up and keep going! Persist persist persist!
WHAT IS THE BEST BIT OF ADVICE, OR QUOTE, THAT RESONATES WITH YOU?
My favourite quote would be “Success is never owned, its rented, and rent is due every day,” however I also like “You reap what you sow,” as my father used to always say that before he passed.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE RESTAURANT?
That would be a tie between Ostro and The Sugar Club.
