Movember

It’s November and you know what that means. Movember. The annual event that involves the growing of a moustache to raise awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate and testicular cancer and suicide awareness.

Started by a group of blokes in South Australia, this initiative has raised up to $174 million worldwide. Us Kiwi blokes like to get behind this cause, with our own statistics pushing for more effort for raising awareness. Up to 600 New Zealand men are diagnosed with prostate cancer each year, 150 men a year are diagnosed with testicular cancer and an unimaginable number are lost to suicide and mental health. That’s why Movember is such a good campaign for us Kiwi men to get behind. We need to grow a Mo for a bro and help to lower these numbers.
