Photo Study: NZ’s Night Sky
Since the dawn of human consciousness, we have looked at the stars in awe. As technology improves and our reach towards them grows, the wonder hasn’t waned. The most talented among us are able to take images of these unreachable astral landscapes and bring them to the rest of us, so we can see the sky that’s so familiar in an all new light.
From October 8-21, Auckland’s Stardome Observatory And Planetarium is hosting a gallery exhibition showcasing the entries from the 2018 New Zealand Astrophotography Competition. Run by the Auckland Astronomical Society, this popular competition gives both budding photographers and seasoned professionals a chance to showcase their incredible skills in capturing the beauty of our universe from Aotearoa. Here is a small selection of what the exhibition has to offer.
