The New Omega Alpha, Barry Keoghan
The star is ascending for Barry Keoghan as he’s made a name for himself in his roles in “Saltburn,” “The Banshees of Inisherin,” and “The Killing of a Sacred Deer”. Personally I thought he did a good (yet criminally short) job in Masters of the Air.
On the red carpet he’s often spotted wearing the latest Omega models such as the Speedmaster ’57, although with that said at the Met Gala he sported a 1930’s Lépine “Sideros” pocket watch. Unconventional but cool. His stylist Ilaria Urbinati told British GQ that he had become “particularly obsessed with that blingy-ass Omega he wore to Globes”
Now things are official between Omega and Keoghan as he becomes a “friend of the brand” which is apparently distinguished from the more corporate “brand ambassador”. This just makes me glad that the days of declaring my relationship status on Facebook are long over. For this shoot he wore a Speedmaster Moonwatch Bi-Colour timepiece. The Bi-Colour uses a mix of materials, primarily stainless steel and 18K Moonshine Gold. The tachymeter scale is in OMEGA Ceragold. Ceragold is Omega’s method of blending ceramics with 18K gold. While we’re at it I should probably mention that Moonshine Gold is a mix of gold, silver, copper, and palladium. This ensures that it’s high-performance and doesn’t lose it’s colour or shine over time. It has a sun-brushed silvery dial and is framed by a black ceramic bezel. Inside it’s powered by the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861. The contrasting subdials are also presented in galvanic 18K Moonshine Gold.
