The Tudor Black Bay Chrono Carbon 25 Was Made For F1
Carbon fibre, titanium, a redesigned lightweight body with high levels of reliability. These are all things you’d want in a top tier F1 racing machine and it’s everything you’re getting in the brand new Tudor Black Bay Chrono Carbon 25. Tudor knows it’s way around a racetrack. They’ve been designing watches for competitive driving since the 60s when drivers of the Porsche 906 in Japan wore their timepieces. Once you catch the racing bug you never go back, and Tudor shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
With a look directly inspired by the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls Formula One Team, the Black Bay Carbon 25 sports a racy blue accented colour scheme and design flairs that celebrates the teams 2025 season livery. At the same time it remains faithful to the Black Bay aesthetic with the famous Snowflake hands and domed “racing white” dial with two hollowed black sub-counters.
Weight saving happens at all levels, beyond just the 42mm case the Manufacture Calibre MT5813’s chronograph and end links of the hybrid leather-rubber strap are all made of carbon fibre. Even aesthetic touches like the chronograph sub-counters are rendered in carbon fibre. Winning isn’t done without the most minute attention to detail.
Other subdials on the face are a 45-minute counter at the 3 o’clock, a date aperture positioned at the 6 o’clock and finally a small seconds at 9 o’clock. The Manufacture Chronograph Calibre MT5813 has a 70 hour power reserve making it weekend proof. The PVD-finished winding crown with the Tudor rose in relief on it’s head is flanked by two matching titanium screw-down pushers. A fixed bezel in carbon fibre with a tachymetric scale completes the look and function of these sporty chronographs.
Each watch has been individually numbered on the PVD-finished titanium case back. To match the year, only 2,025 Black Bay Chronograph “Carbon 25” examples will be made, paying homage to this important year in TUDOR’s ever-evolving motorsport history. The Carbon 25 is truly a competitive tech forward lightweight marvel, befitting of F1.
