The UFO Superyacht
Almost 75 years since the first UFO sighting, the intrigue and mystery of possible alien life has stupefied mankind. Whether you’re a believer or not, the fact of another type of living thing out there in the great unknown has kept us all on tenter-hooks. Fodder for conspiracy theorists, I guess.
What isn’t fodder, however, is how we use the idea of alien life to edge up our own humankind. How we chisel away at the possibility that maybe something is out there just waiting for the perfect moment to communicate. The future, another thing that is unknown, is just on the horizon, and futuristic concept designs are flooding into our inboxes, forever looking for that edgy ‘alien’ look. Dubbed Ono by European yacht designer, Aras Kazar, the inspiration for the superyacht concept is taken from the good old UFO. It looks like some unknown 150 metre flying object just hovering through the water. With its sharp, reverse bow and futuristic superstructure, Ono’s aluminum and fibreglass exterior truly gives it a distinct ‘Darth Vadar’ look. The exterior is going to be lined by solar panels so it can be sustainable as well as ominous.
A fleeting foredeck features a helipad, an infinity pool and a sizable swimming pool. A bar too, so you can sip smooth cocktails waterside. Inside Ono, the guests would be treated to a ‘floating villa’ equipped with three master suites, five staterooms, accommodation for a full crew, plus space inside and outside for entertaining.
