Sharks In The Time of Saviours
By Kawai Strong Washburn
One of the pleasures of doing the M2 Book Reviews is the interesting books that arrive for me to review. There are so many talented authors with great ideas and writing styles, that really take you on an adventure or escape from your daily routine. So I look forward to being surprised with each book I read, no predetermined ideas of where it could take you. Sharks in the time of Saviours is the debut novel for Washburn, himself from Hawaii, where most of the story is based. Each chapter is a perspective told by each character. I found it an enjoyable read with various twists and turns that show an all rounded view of the story.
The Racketeer
By John Grisham
Everyone likes Grisham, he writes good solid stories, this guy knows his stuff. So for this issue’s “Books You Should Read That Aren’t Necessarily New” pick, I’ve chosen the Racketeer, one of the best selling books of 2012 so a safe bet to read.
