Upgrade Your Backyard Gatherings This Summer With The Kodak Inflatable Screen
Summer is fast approaching and with it (hopefully) the loosening of restrictions and the return of backyard hangouts with friends, family, neighbours and honestly, just about anyone who will hang out with us as we’ve been deprived of human contact for some damn long. At the same time, while movie theaters around the country are back in business and Auckland cinemas will likely follow at some point in the next few months, it will be understandable if many casual movie-goers aren’t desperately keen to jump into a packed windowless room with a bunch of strangers to watch the latest blockbuster. The Kodak Inflatable screen has arrived at the perfect time for Kiwi’s who are looking to get a taste of the big screen experience again while also adding to their backyard entertainment arsenal.
Measuring 4.4 by 3.1 metres, the Kodak Inflatable screen is a bit like the ones you often see pop up around Auckland at the ‘Movies in Parks’ events, only scaled to fit in your standard back garden for an audience of a few, as opposed to a few hundred. While we certainly hope we’re aren’t going to see much rough weather over the coming months, the inflatable screen is fully waterproof, meaning you aren’t going to have to scramble to get it out of the rain if the skies do suddenly decide to open mid-movie. The screen comes with everything you would need to make set up as cruisy as possible and takes mere minutes to inflate. The specs make for a pretty decent size showing for most backyards but if you’re looking to really fill the space, Kodak also have an XL size which stands at a fairly whopping 17 feet.
Both are currently available on Amazon, around $300 for the regular (including shipping) and of course, you’ll need your own projector to get anything on there, but this sounds like a pretty ideal way enjoy a movie on warm, cozy Friday evening or knock back a couple of cold ones in the sun with the UFC on a Sunday afternoon.
